This ancient early-60's John Grady image captures native Floridian Allison during the earliest days of his career, when he was wheeling the # 312 Coach on the open-wheel circuit of the South. He often ventured North during that period to steal the limelight from the Yankees on their home turf of the paved ovals of New England.
