From 1953, Elton Hildreth posing with his #73 Nash that he would drive in the 1953 Raleigh 300. Hildreth finished 41st. For the Southern 500, the car was turned over to Bill Widenhouse to drive. Bill made it to the checkers in 37th place. This was Elton's backup car--he used the #167 (or 67) as his primary ride and Elton drove that car to a twelfth place finish at Darlington.
