With Big brother Geoff Bodine already secure in the Hendrick Team with Tim Ricmond, Brett Bodine was given his first Cup Start in a third Hendrick car. It came in 1986 Coca Cola 600 @ Charlotte. Brett made the most of his opportunity with a 18th place finish. 14 spots better than big brother.
