On March 24th 1970 Buddy Baker took Chrysler's company car, a Royal Blue Dodge Daytona, built by Ray Fox to Talladega for special world record attempt for a closed circuit run. In an officially times run, Baker became the first driver to break 200mph on a closed oval. His best Lap was 200.447.
